Robert, who is the MP for Harlow, told Blogminster: "The Internet has changed elections in the 21st century, just like the telegram and the popular newspaper changed elections in the 19th century. Blogs keep me informed. It's like what John Stuart Mill says in his book 'On Liberty', when he talks about 'The steady habit of correcting and completing one's own opinion by collating it with those of others'. But there is also a future for print. In previous times, to print a quality newspaper would have cost a small fortune. Now, with the advance of technology, anyone can be a newspaper baron. The effect this will have on freedom of speech and communication, could be enormous. We live in fascinating times. I wonder what William Caxton would think."
