Unemployment in Dagenham and Rainham soars to 8.3%  

Local Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has expressed his concern over the worrying rise in joblessness in the area revealed by figures released today. The information released by the Office of National Statistics shows that unemployment in the United Kingdom has risen to its highest level for 17 years. In the three months leading up to December, the UK saw unemployment rise by 48,000 to an unprecedented level of 2.67 million, with the numbers expected to continue to increase.  read more...
