GREATER MANCHESTER MPs STAND TOGETHER IN SUPPORT OF GREEN INVESTMENT BANK BID
Greater Manchester MPs Mark Hunter (Lib Dem, Cheadle), Tony Lloyd (Labour, Manchester Central) and Graham Brady (Conservative, Altrincham and Sale West) have today written to BIS Secretary, Vince Cable, to emphasise the strong cross-party support for locating the Green Investment Bank in Manchester. The key points being made for the Manchester Green Investment Bank Bid are that: Manchester represents the most risk free option for location of the bank. Manchester has a competitive offering over and above that of London. As a truly global city with a strong track record of successfully delivering finance into the green economy Manchester is a natural choice for the location of the bank, to access this experience, knowledge and market penetration.
