Local MP Tessa Munt was proud to show Senior Liberal Democrat Minister the Rt Hon Danny Alexander MP around her 'patch' in Somerset today. Danny is the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, the third most senior position at HM Treasury after the Prime Minister, David Cameron (First Lord of the Treasury) and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne (Second Lord of the Treasury). The role has grown over recent years and Danny is a Cabinet Minister. Danny attended a Business Breakfast at the Oaktree Arena (Highbridge Speedway) to meet owners of 50 local businesses and hear their thoughts on the role the Coalition Government could play in helping them achieve greater success. Danny used the occasion to announce a new £23.7million Seaside Town Rejuvenation Fund which will support much loved seaside towns like Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge with help to create new jobs and prosperity....
