1. Highlighted the issue of gold theft in House debate on metal theft – spoke of how this growing menace is not a victimless crime and has been a particular problem for the Asian and Bangladeshi communities in Leicester and Loughborough, who have had their homes broken into and precious items that cannot be replaced stolen.2. Questioned Cabinet Office Ministers about criteria for determining social investment fund allocations – asked for assurances that the Government fully recognise the role played by Christian groups, such as the Carpenter's Arms in Loughborough, in delivering social action projects.3. Attended 'Asian Women and Entrepreneurship' lunch – discussed issue of increasing representation of women on corporate board with leading women from the Asian business community.
