Daylight Saving Bill
When Bills progress through the Houses of Parliament they go through stages in the House of Commons and the House of Lords. At the present time there are several Bills that have left the Commons and are with the Lords. Once the Lords have gone through their scrutiny of a Bill it returns to the MPs in the Commons for consideration of any amendments made by the Lords.Consequently, with Bills being in the Lords, the Commons Chamber business is different than in previous months. There are Opposition Days, where opposition parties get the opportunity to propose motions. Some committee work is also put through the Chamber, and there are general debates where there can be political consensus, indeed sometimes on general debates there is no vote required.
