So, you were probably thinking that you would make it safely into 2012 without me mentioning boundary changes again. Sorry that's not going to be the case. Last week the Electoral Commission revealed something far too alarming not to comment on.Original estimates showed that around 3.5 million people were missing from the electoral register. This is now thought to be more than 6 million! Yes, the figure has almost doubled.Given that the new constituency boundaries have been redrawn based on the number of registered voters, the validity of the plans is somewhat at stake, don't you think?Edmonton doesn't fare well when it comes to the number of people on the electoral register. Even cautious estimates suggest that there is around 16%, or about 12,100 eligible voters, missing from the register. It is one of the worst ratios out of all the 650 constituencies.
