Torbay MP Welcomes Reward Scheme for Schools
Adrian Sanders, Member of Parliament for Torbay, has today praised the Government’s plans to reward and recognise those schools who have worked hard to promote and raise awareness for the Olympic and Paralympics Games through the Get Set Network. The Get Set Network is a special community of schools who are demonstrating a commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic Values (respect, friendship, equality, excellence, inspiration, courage and determination) using the London 2012 Games to inspire learners of all ages and abilities to get involved in Values-based projects and activities. As part of the Get Set Network, any school involved can receive some of the 100 000 ‘Ticketshare’ tickets that will be distributed. In addition to securing tickets to the Games, schools which join the Get Set Network will also receive; a plaque and certificate plus a right to use the London 2012 education...
