My Meeting with Justine Greening  

I have now received from the Department for Transport a copy of the transcript from my meeting with Justine Greening which I have enclosed below.  The Secretary of State for Transport confirmed before the start of the meeting that she would be unable to respond to the points I raised as she did not wish to prejudice the consultation process.  However, the meeting did give me an opportunity to express my and my constituents strong opposition to the proposals.  “This obviously affects my constituency a great deal, partly because it’s Chilterns and AONB and Green Belt including the scarp section. I used to represent Great Missenden. At Wendover in my constituency HS2 would come through the scarp. At Stoke Mandeville in some of the plans there are some quite horrendous things including a viaduct with a road going across the top of the viaduct on the plan that was at the public consultation...
