Welsh Government needs to support SMEs

Would you like to see smaller business receive loans from their banks to help them create jobs and invest in their development in the Vale? Last week the UK Government announced it would invest £95million to help boost growth and rebalance the economy.  The deal brokered by Lord Heseltine diverts £95million in cash from the Regional Growth Fund to help trigger £500m of further investment, and an anticipated 4,000 jobs. However, this investment doesn’t cover any SMEs in Wales and, as yet, the Welsh Government hasn’t confirmed that it will provide the same level of support for businesses here in Wales. In England, RBS, NatWest and HSBC have agreed to facilitate the distribution of the £95 million – which is part of the government’s Regional Growth Fund. RBS and NatWest will facilitate £70 million and HSBC will facilitate £25 million. The banks will not profit financially...
