Wear your poppy with pride  

Over the last 18 months since I was elected as an MP, I’ve had the opportunity to work with members of the Royal British Legion across the Vale.  In my mind there is no more worthy charity. From holding a ‘Poppy Party’ in Cowbridge, another involving pupils at Barry Comprehensive and veterans, to hosting a visit from Barry branch members to Westminster, I’ve been able to get a real insight into the unstinting hard work that all members continue to contribute to the Royal British Legion.  Last week I had the privilege of helping RBL Barry members launch the Poppy Appeal in Wales by helping to sell poppies at Morrisons, and will be joining other members at other supermarkets in the Vale over the next few days. The experience was heart-warming; so much respect was rightly shown to the veterans and very few chose not to accept a poppy.  Each year the nation expresses its unequivocal...
