McKechin secures funding for Home-Start  

McKECHIN SECURES FUNDING FOR HOME-STARTAnn McKechin M.P. for Glasgow North has today announced she has secured agreement from Glasgow City Council and NHS to award £10,000 in funding to the Glasgow North West office of Home-Start to allow it to continue its vital family support services. Home-Start supports almost 73,000 vulnerable children across the UK, using trained volunteers to help families cope with post-natal illness, isolation, bereavement, disability, domestic violence and much more.The scheme in Glasgow North West lost its funding for 2011-2012 and contacted Ann as local MP to see what she could do to help.
