BROADBAND MEETING TONIGHT

Tonight I am holding a public meeting on Broadband at Chichester Hall in Witley from 7.30pm. This is an opportunity for South West Surrey residents to come along and listen to my plans nationally and those of Surrey County Council locally to improve broadband in our area which can be very patchy. I have set out a vision of 100% broadband coverage across the UK by 2015 including 90% superfast which I think could transform our villages in particular - not least when local health services start to be delivered online as I think could happen sooner than many think. Obviously I will be blaming my good friend Peter Martin for any failure to deliver this vision as he is now the broadband portfolio holder at Surrey as well as being Deputy Leader. ...
