This weekend, people across our country and all over the world will unite in remembering those who died in the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. People remember with sadness what happened that day and countless millions remember the details of where they were and what they were doing when they heard what was happening in America. I remember exactly where I was: sitting in a meeting at the Treasury, someone came in with the news that 2 planes had hit the Twin Towers. Over the next few hours, I watched on television as the full horror of the day unfolded. 10 years on, it is right that we pay particular attention to this sombre anniversary.
