Austin vows to oppose plans to bring back fox hunting

Dudley North MP Ian Austin today responded to news that the Tory-led government could overturn the fox hunting ban. Speaking in the Commons last week, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Caroline Spelman, said the new government was committed to repealing the Hunting Act. Asked whether the Government had dropped its plans to hold a vote on the issue, she said: “We have not dropped our plan to hold a vote.
