Austin urges Dudley Council to think again on Benefits Shop
Dudley MP Ian Austin is urging Tory-run Dudley Council to reconsider plans to strip back the borough’s Benefits Shop. The service, which is facing large funding cuts, provides crucial help to families who’ve lost their job and need help making ends meet. Pensioners and others struggling to get by can get advice and help on budgeting, tackling debts and claiming what they are eligible for. Ian Austin said: “The service has already been slashed, staff numbers reduced and opening hours cut back. Now they are working out what to do with the remaining funding.......
