Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg gave a speech this morning at University College London Hospital, emphasising that patients will be kept at the heart of NHS reforms. We are now in the final stages of the Government's listening exercise on proposals to reform the NHS. An unusual thing for government to do: pausing legislation because we didn't get all of the substance right. Accepting that we now need to make changes - in some cases, significant ones.
