Helen attacks Government cuts to debt support

Helen has criticised the Government’s “lunatic” decision to axe support for local debt services. Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate yesterday, Helen attacked the Government for scrapping the £120 million Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF), which allows Citizens Advice Bureaus (CABs) and other voluntary agencies to provide expert, face-to-face debt advice for people in deprived areas.
