Diane pledges to introduce ‘genuine’ gay marriage as Labour leader  

Attending the largest ever Reading Pride on the weekend Diane has defended rights for members of the LGBT Community. Diane said: “All my life I have campaigned for equality and it makes me very proud to be the patron of Reading Pride – and I particularly like your family area, I think it is really positive.” “But what I also want to say is this – that when I am leader of the Labour Party I will put Britain in the forefront of gay rights issues. “In particular, one of the first things that I will do is introduce genuine gay marriage.” Diane made a similar speech and pledge at UK Black Pride, Britain’s biggest and best celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Middle East and Latin America, in August.   For more information on the story please see the following link: http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2077836_politicians_pledge_on_gay_marriage...
