Diane is preferred choice for Leader among Labour voters  

Diane has shown she is the true ‘people's candidate' by topping a poll of among loyal Labour voters. Diane, who is the candidate with the longest history in the party, was the most popular candidate among non-party members who either voted Labour during the last general election or who would vote Labour if there was a general election held tomorrow. Tomorrow (September 8th) is the deadline for people to join the Labour Party and still get a vote in the Leadership election Diane has also emerged as second favourite among Compass members and third in a poll of Labour councillors, behind the Miliband brothers. This poll, by ComRes, also showed that the leadership contest will be decided on Diane's second preferences. Diane said: “I have always said I am the people's candidate and this just proves it. I would urge all those people who think I am the best candidate...
