David understands the values of our Party  

By Mike Griffiths I have carefully considered the choice between the different candidates. Each has made statements about taking the party forward and learning the lessons of the past but David seems to me to have grasped the real issues and offered the correct path for our party. I have said previously that the party membership needs to feel the strong heartbeat of a vibrant party.   Unfortunately there has been a culture over many years that has stifled that heartbeat and at times stopped it being heard.   David understands the values of our party but also realizes that you need to unlock the many talents across the party and be prepared to listen to their views. We will need to be a progressive party that is confident in itself if we are to win power again and to do that we need to offer the British people solutions to their fears that they will identify with and support.
