By Patrick Stewart OBE The first time I heard David Miliband speak was some years ago at an event organised by Barry Sheerman in aid of the John Clare Trust.   I was impressed that a senior cabinet member felt the English peasant poet and his memory was sufficiently important to warrant his attendance.   David spoke passionately of Clare.   He was eloquent, witty…and brief.   I went home and told my partner that I had just met a future Prime Minister.
