Blog Action Week

Quick plug for Blog Action Week, with an email I’ve received (see below). I’m tempted to vote for   Oceans, being a diver and with The End of the Line still fresh in my mind. However,   I’m off to Kenya in a couple of weeks with the APPG on Agriculture and Food for Development, which has been conducting a very ambitious and thorough inquiry on food security over the past year or more, so might go for sustainable food instead. This also gives the opportunity to blog about the  industrialisation of agriculture, which people will know is a topic dear to my heart. Speaking of which, WPSA (the World Society for the Protection of Animals) have arranged a parliamentary briefing for next Wednesday, to launch a major campaign to oppose the rise of intensive, industrial dairy farms based on the US industrial model.
