Movement for Change left us buzzing with optimism
By Ben Maloney Monday night was a seminal moment for the residents of the Ladderswood Estate. The residents were organising. Not simply for the community event that M4C is helping them to prepare for on Sunday. I'm talking about real organising. They were organising for change. Over the past few months M4C has helped to identify a number of community leaders, those individuals who have really stood out in their community and been visibly passionate about making a difference. On Monday night they formed a planning committee for the event, and when placed in a room together immediately seized the opportunity to talk through their plans, and within minutes I was able to sit back, observe and let the residents run with it.
