Another busy weekend and the BBC Politics Show  

I had another busy weekend, starting early with a Gillingham High Street stall (more balloon blowing for the team!); rushing back for an interview with Sunrise TV, talking about why it’s so important for Gillingham & Rainham to stay Labour; and then more canvassing, deliveries and talking to people on the street. It all went well and we’re getting a good reaction out there. We just need to keep pushing home the message that every vote counts and remind people about the choice that this election is about. Yesterday I was on the BBC Southeast Politics Show debating with local Lib Dem candidate and a Tory. Unfortunately, Rehman Chishti and the other two Medway Tory candidates didn’t turn up – so we were given Jason Sugarman all the way from Lewes, to represent the party!
