The Future of the Village

Just back from Brightwell, where I hit the pub at 9am.  It was  for a two hour session with 20 villagers to discuss the future of the village - generically rather than Brightwell specific, although Brightwell obviously informed people's views.  What impact would changes in work, transport, migration, choice and so on have on the village.  The results of the discussion should be posted on Vodafone's web site, future agenda (the discussion was hosted by a lady in the village who works for Vodafone).  I was struck by how many people's jobs impacted on my policy brief - a freelance photographer, a BBC employee and a children's television producer were all part of the twenty. ...
