Deadline to apply for Proxy Vote for the General Election

April 27, 2010 5:00:00 PM UTC If you are unable to vote at your Polling Station on election day, you may appoint a proxy, that is, someone else to vote on your behalf. That person will be given your ballot paper at your Polling Station. With the General Election taking place on Thursday 6 May the deadline to apply for a proxy vote will be 5pm on Tuesday 27 April.
