Which side is Unite on?

I know the answer to the question: which side is the RMT union on? Answer: it seems to hate the Labour Party and the Labour Government and it gives every impression that it would like nothing better than to see Labour crash out of office. Governing, you understand, offends the political puritans and their nihilist workerism. Pointless, damaging strikes which hurt its members, the employers and the travelling public are the RMT's calling card.But what of Unite? I'd have thought that an organisation which has apparently paid £12 million into the Labour Party's coffers, sponsors an improbably large number of Labour MPs and baffingly employs the Prime Minister's egregious former spinmeister, might just conceivably want Labour to win the coming election. It is becoming increasingly hard to believe that judging by their actions. What on earth are they thinking of? Several large national air carriers...
