“Hedging Our Bets” – Lib Dems reveal election slogan  

The Liberal Democrats today revealed their new election slogan, "Change that works for you, building a fairer Britain".The slogan was accompanied by a statement from the party: "We are pleased to announce that our slogan for the upcoming election campaign will be 'Change that works for you, building a fairer Britain'. You may notice this is similar to both the Conservatives and Labour slogans. This is because we, the Liberal Democrats, just try and copy what we think is popular (hence our previous slogans: "Gotta Catch 'Em All" in 2001 and "Vote Lib Dem - We Love Arcade Fire" in 2005). When Cameron was popular we elected Clegg and were all ready to steal the Tories' slogan until Labour started doing well again, so we had to steal theirs too and just stick it on the end.
