Total of British soldiers killed in Afghanistan = 270'The Unusual Suspect' was launched tonight in the mini-paradise of the Ffwrwm. It was three hours of concentrated joy. Old and new friends turned up, one Tory councillor, a relative of a school friend I have not seen for 40 years, plus fellow campaigners from anti-nuclear   and peace campaigns. Dr Russell Rhys generously offered the Ffrwrm as a venue. The Welsh cakes were giant and delicious. The wine was heady and fruity. The Welsh   cheeses zinged on the pallet. The talk was inspiring and provocative. All the ingredients for a great evening. As a bonus lots of books were bought. Now the joy for the author. Lots of wise discriminating people will be reading the book. Happiness. Coarse PoliticsOf course, General and Admirals want more money spent on defence. Doctors and teachers want more money spent on the NHS and education....
