That editorial policy (almost) in full  

Thanks to everyone following this site – whatever your politics, I’m genuinely grateful (and surprised at the numbers – as are others who tell me they know about these things). However, here’s some news just in. The team of clinical psychologists charged with producing my editorial policy have taken time out of their ongoing schedule (currently, they are overseeing a room full of chimps with typewriters in the belief that one of them must produce the great American novel) to send me one of the basic tenets upon which the policy will be based. Policy No.1 : whatever the issue, whatever the circumstances; at no time will anonymous contributions be posted on this website. Quite right – no name, no game.
