A “little spot of bother…”

David Cameron’s trailed ‘personal attack’ on Gordon Brown yesterday was the latest mistake in the Tories’ increasingly faltering general election campaign. The LOTO seems to enjoy personality politics. Perhaps his core audience is different to the one I see, but he frequently allows himself to be portrayed as nasty, spiteful and a bit of a bully.  www.mirror.co.uk/opinion/voiceofthemirror/2010/02/09/cameron-s-nasty-turn-115875-22028991/ Whether contrived or natural, it doesn’t tend to help the Tory leader’s cause and recently it has begun to look desperate. Why make personal attacks? If you have confidence in your policies (immediately I see the problem) then why not just articulate them?
