Emotions: Fake and True
What a superb actor. He had me fooled this morning for a second or two. Alistair Campbell was bowled a hard ball by Andrew Marr. There was no convincing answer that he could invent to deal with the question 'Did Tony mislead the House on Iraq?' There are number of options for evading questions. The favourite is to ignore it and say what you want to say anyway. That's too easy. Marr is not thrown off the scent. Today called for more drama because Alistair has a book to sell. A gesture that will be reported widely was necessary from our master spin doctor. He recalled the serious ploys.
