DUP Obstruction of Byransford GAA Pitches Sectarian

Since the opinion to approve the three GAA Pitches at Burrnebridge Road for Byransford GAC on 26th October 2009 was presented to Down Distroct Council, I have contacted and spoken to the Minister for the Environment Edwin Poots on 8 occasions. To date I have not received a satisfactory response from the Minister as to why the approval notice for the GAA pitch development cannot be issued.   I understand that the objector has been given many opportunities to meet with Roads Service to discuss his concern however he has not taken any of the dates offered. Some 3 months on we are in a situation where a DUP Cllr is being allowed to hold up a major GAA and community development, and a DUP Minister is supporting him in what can only be viewed by as a sectarian act.   Given the blatant obstruction of this GAA Development by the DUP this issue must now be publicly aired and resolved without further...
