ROBERTSON AND SALMOND WELCOME BROADBAND BOOST FOR DRUMMUIR AND MULBEN
Angus Robertson, SNP MP for the Moray constituency, has welcomed the announcement by the Scottish Government's Enterprise Minister that householders and businesses in the Drummuir and Mulben areas are to benefit from the Exchange Activate project to provide improved access to broadband. The planned technological boost has also been welcomed by local MSP Alex Salmond. The project will see the upgrade of 71 telephone exchanges across Scotland that are at or approaching capacity to improve online services, which will see more customers able to benefit from broadband with a download speed of 512 kbps. BT has already started work on upgrading the exchanges, with work at Drummuir and Mulben both due to be completed by mid-March of next year.
